You shouldn’t forget that while you were a fetus, you not only received nutrients from your mother, you also received love from her. Similarly, while you live on earth, you not only receive physical nutrients from nature, you also receive love from God. Love is an essential nutrient for life.

Just as plants absorb sunlight as an element of life, people take in love is an element of life. Our dearest wish is to live eternally in circumstances where we can love and be loved. This is the hope of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth and the Kingdom of Heaven in heaven.

The paths that men and women walk are for the sake of love. We each have a path to travel, and it is a path of love. We travel this life to obtain love, to keep love, and to create an environment of love. A woman puts on cosmetics or gets a massage for the sake of love. Our wants and our work are all for the sake of love. We willingly endure hardships and press forward in order to obtain precious love.

From the moment we are born, we receive parental love. As long as our parents are alive, they will love us at each stage of our lives, through childhood, young adulthood and middle age. Having received parental love as we grow up, in time the horizontal love of husband and wife is bound to blossom within each of us.

What is marriage? It is like a school where men learn things they did not know about women and women learn things they did not know about men. When all the grades are A’s, then the husband and the wife will be happy. Raising sons and daughters is like going to another school, this time to learn about loving the world. Your children are your connection to the future. They are given to you to provide you with lessons about how to relate to the future world. Acts of filial piety toward your grandfather and grandmother, or to your ancestors, have the purpose of enabling you to be educated by the spirit world. All your ancestors are connected to you through love. Love is the central line that links grandfather and grandmother, husband and wife, and sons and daughters. As blood circulates through the human body, these links enable your ancestors in the spirit world going back even ten thousand generations to circulate up and down and communicate with you, their distant descendent. The spirit world, like the universe as a whole, is organized according to connections of love. Everything submits to the order of love. This is why people say that becoming a servant of true love and a slave of true love is the greatest happiness.

인간은 태아로 있을 때는 어머니로부터 공급되는 영양을 받았을 뿐만 아니라, 사랑을 공급받았음을 잊어서는 안 될 것입니다. 그렇듯이 지상에서 살고 있는 인간들도 우주(자연)로부터 물질적인 영양을 공급받을 뿐 아니라 생명의 본질적 요소인 사랑을 하나님으로부터 공급받고 있는 것입니다.

모든 식물이 태양빛을 생명의 요소로 흡수하는 것과 마찬가지로 인간들에게는 사랑이 생명의 요소가 되는 것입니다. 우리의 소망은 영원히 사랑과 더불어 흠모하면서 살 수 있는 지상천국이나 천상천국이 건설되는 것입니다. 인간은 태어날 때 사랑으로 태어났으며, 태어나서는 사랑을 받으면서 어린 시절에 성장하게 됩니다.

남자나 여자가 가는 길은 사랑 때문에 있으며, 사랑을 위해서 있습니다. 나의 길은 사랑의 길입니다. 사랑을 얻기 위해서, 사랑을 지키기 위해서, 사랑의 환경권을 이루기 위해서 가는 것입니다. 여자가 화장을 하거나 맛사지를 하는 것도 사랑 때문입니다. 원하는 것도 일을 하는 것도 모두 사랑 때문인 것입니다. 고귀한 사랑을 얻기 위해서 고난을 이겨내고 가는 것입니다.

우리는 태어날 때부터 부모의 사랑을 받는 것이며, 부모가 생존해 있는 한 소년시대?청년시대?장년시대, 어느 시대를 막론하고 사랑하는 것입니다. 부모의 사랑을 받아 성장(成長)하게 되면 횡적인 부부(夫婦)의 사랑이 각자에게 벌어지기 마련입니다.

결혼이 뭐겠습니까? 남자는 여자에 대해 몰랐던 것을 배우기 위한 것이요, 여자는 남자에 대해 몰랐던 것을 배우기 위한 학교에 입학하는 것입니다. 모든 학점이 A플러스가 되어야 남편도 좋아하고 아내도 좋아할 것입니다. 아들딸을 낳는 것은 세계를 사랑하는 법을 배우기 위한 것입니다. 아들딸이 없으면 미래와 연결되지 않습니다. 미래의 세계와 연결할 수 있는 교육의 재료로 아들딸을 준 것입니다. 그리고 조상들이나 할아버지, 할머니 앞에 효도하는 것은 영계로부터의 교육을 받기 위한 것임을 알아야 합니다. 사랑을 중심삼고 이 모든 것이 연결됩니다. 할아버지와 할머니, 남편과 아내, 아들딸이 한 사랑을 중심으로 전부 연결돼 있는 것입니다. 인체의 혈관같이 영계의 천만 대 조상까지도 올라갔다가 내려올 수 있고, 먼 후손까지도 통할 수 있는 것입니다. 곧 영계의 조직이요, 우주의 조직이 된다는 것을 알아야 합니다. 모든 것이 여기에 정복당하고 맙니다. 사랑의 종이 되고 사랑의 노예가 되는 것이 최대의 행복이라 할 수 있는 것입니다.

Не можна забувати, що коли людина перебуває як зародок в утробі, вона отримує від матері не лише поживні речовини, але й любов. Так само, живучи на землі, люди отримують не тільки матеріальну поживу від Всесвіту (природи), а й від Бога одержують любов — істотний елемент життя.

Усі рослини вбирають сонячне світло як елемент, потрібний їм для життя. Таким самим істотним елементом для людського життя є любов. Ми сподіваємось побудувати Царство Небесне на землі та на небі, де ми зможемо жити вічно в любові та захопленні.

Шлях, яким ідуть чоловік і жінка, існує завдяки любові та заради неї. Шлях людини — це шлях любові. Вона крокує ним, щоб здобути любов, зберегти її та створити оточення для неї. Жінки користуються косметикою чи роблять масаж також через любов. Усе, що люди бажають, і справи, які вони роблять, — усе це через любов. Людина йде, перемагаючи всі негаразди, щоб здобути дорогоцінну любов.

Ми отримуємо батьківську любов з моменту народження. У якому б віці ми не були — у дитинстві, юності чи зрілості — доти, доки живі наші батьки, вони завжди люблять нас. Коли людина виростає, отримуючи любов батьків, у її житті з'являється горизонтальне подружнє кохання. Це природно для кожного.

Що таке шлюб? Це вступ до школи, в якій чоловік навчається всього, чого він не знав про жінку, а жінка дізнається про все, що їй було невідомо про чоловіка. Коли обоє вони навчатимуться на відмінно з плюсом, чоловік і дружина будуть задоволені. Народжувати дітей потрібно для того, щоб навчитися любити світ. Без дітей у вас не буде зв'язку з майбутнім. Сини та доньки дані вам як навчальний посібник, який допомагає зв'язатися зі світом майбутнього. Ще вам потрібно знати, що виявляти шанобливість до предків, до дідусів і бабусь потрібно для того, щоб отримати освіту від духовного світу. Все це пов'язано любов'ю. Дідусь і бабуся, чоловік і дружина, сини та доньки — всі вони пов'язані однією любов'ю. Міріади поколінь предків у духовному світі схожі на кровоносні судини в тілі людини. Вони можуть підніматися та спускатися, зв'язуючись навіть з найвіддаленішим зі своїх нащадків. Ви повинні знати, що такою є структура духовного світу, структура Всесвіту. Усе їй підкоряється. Можна сказати, що найбільше щастя полягає в тому, щоб стати слугою чи рабом любові.

Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon gave this speech on the occasion of the founding of the Universal Peace Federation on September 12, 2005. It was also given in the UPF inaugural world speaking tour to 10 nations and in the rallies for the Return of the Homeland to God, held in 180 nations in 2006.

Peace Message I

This speech was given by both Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon during a series of assemblies for Ambassadors for Peace, Segye Times investigative reporters and other leaders in Korean society, which took place in March 2006, and in the rallies for the Return of the Homeland to God, held in 180 nations during the same year.

Peace Message II
