The world we live in is round: the sun is round, the earth is round and the stars are round; even our mouths are round. Everything has an inherent round aspect. In fact, every interactive pair in the universe relates by means of one entity revolving around the other. Such interactive pairs form a spherical shape through maintaining a relationship with the greater whole. Why, then, are we born? We are born to beat in rhythm with this vast universe. Ocean waves lapping against the shore lap against our hearts as well. Gentle breezes sighing serenely lull our hearts into serenity. Flowers in bloom release rich fragrances and stir the fragrances in our hearts.

To be born in love, raised with love, to live with love and to die with love makes us grateful for our birth, our life and our death. You came to be born because you participated in a moment when your father and mother expressed the utmost love for each other. You were participants in that love. Since you were born out of your parents’ love, you can consider yourself to be the flag of your parents’ love, which they planted at your birth. Your flag flutters to express love. We are all meant to live for the sake of love throughout our lives. You should wave the flag of love for your mother, wave the flag of love when you see your father, and wave the flag of love for your siblings.

오늘날 이 세계는 둥글게 되어 있습니다. 태양도 둥글고, 땅도 둥글고, 별도 둥글고, 입도 둥글게 되어 있습니다. 어떤 물건이라도 다 그렇게 되어 있습니다. 그렇기 때문에 우주는 둥글둥글 돌면서 관계를 맺습니다. 그리고 둥글게 있더라도 개별적으로 있는 것이 아니라 전체에 연관성을 맺고 있습니다. 그러면 내가 왜 태어났느냐? 이 대우주와 박자를 맞추기 위해 태어났습니다. 그러니 바다의 물결이 출렁거리면 내 마음도 출렁거리고, 바람이 기분 좋게 불면 내 마음도 기분 좋고, 꽃이 피어서 향기를 풍기면 내 마음도 향기를 풍길 수 있다는 것입니다.

사랑에서 태어나고, 사랑에서 자라 가지고, 사랑에서 살다가, 사랑에서 죽게 될 때는 낳는 것도 감사한 것이요, 사는 것도 감사한 것이요, 죽는 것도 감사한 것입니다. 여러분은 어머니 아버지가 지극히 사랑하는 자리에 동참해서 태어났다는 것입니다. 동참자라는 것입니다. 여러분은 부모의 사랑으로 태어났기 때문에 부모님의 사랑이 꽂아 놓은 깃발로 태어났다고 생각하라는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 깃발이 움직이는 것은 사랑을 표시하기 위해서 움직이는 것입니다. 일생 동안 사랑 때문에 사는 것입니다. 그래서 어머니를 위해서도 사랑의 깃발을 흔들어 주고, 아버지를 봐도 사랑의 깃발을 흔들어 주고, 형제들을 위해서도 사랑의 깃발을 흔들어 주라는 것입니다.

Навіть якщо щось є круглим, воно існує не лише індивідуально, а й у взаємозв'язку з цілим підтримує сферичну форму. Тоді чому кожен з нас народився? Щоб жити в одному ритмі з макрокосмом. Тому, коли на морі з'являються хвилі, на душі теж неспокійно, коли приємно віє вітер, на душі добре, а коли квіти розквітають і пахнуть, наша душа теж випромінює аромат.

Коли ви народилися в любові, виросли в любові, жили в любові та помираєте в любові, ви будете вдячними за те, що народилися, за життя і навіть за смерть. Ви народилися, взявши участь там, де ваші мати і батько дуже кохали одне одного. Оскільки ви народилися завдяки любові батьків, то повинні думати, що народилися як прапор, піднятий їхньою любов'ю. Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon gave this speech on the occasion of the founding of the Universal Peace Federation on September 12, 2005. It was also given in the UPF inaugural world speaking tour to 10 nations and in the rallies for the Return of the Homeland to God, held in 180 nations in 2006.

Peace Message I

This speech was given by both Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon during a series of assemblies for Ambassadors for Peace, Segye Times investigative reporters and other leaders in Korean society, which took place in March 2006, and in the rallies for the Return of the Homeland to God, held in 180 nations during the same year.

Peace Message II
